Instagram is working overtime to get creators on their platform by upping the money it is paying out for Reels.
The platform announced that they are paying up to $35,000 for users to post Reels on IG in a ploy to take on the wildly popular platform TikTok. While the Reels Play bonus program is still in its infancy, there is no clear-cut way to determine how Instagram is determining the pay scale. However, it does not appear to be centered around the number of followers a creator has.
One user with 800 Instagram followers who participated in the program was offered the same $8,500 as a creator who had 24,000 followers. For upcoming artists or content creators, this is excellent news considering that incentives such as this are usually only offered to users with large followings.
As of now, this bonus is only available in the United States but will likely slowly expand to other countries.
We have told you all about the earning power of Reels in the past. However, with the added cash bonuses, we again encourage everyone to get on this money train.
