Radio host, Charlamagne Tha God, is ready to bury the hatchet with rap icon Nicki Minaj after several unflattering comments about her record, "Anaconda."
During a recent interview with Jalen Rose for his Jalen Vs. Everybody podcast, the retired NBA pro asked the outspoken media personality which celebrity he would make amends with. Throughout his career, Charlamagne has voiced his opinions on many musicians and their work, which was not always been welcomed. However, of all the people he has offended over the years, Charlamagne said he would love to smooth things over with Nicki.
"Me and Nicki used to be super. We used to be really cool," he shared. Charlamagne admitted that his criticisms of her record, "Anaconda," sparked their feud. When it was released in 2014, he called the track "corny." Nicki unfollowed him on Twitter shortly after those comments. Rumors even circulated at the time that she was trying to have Charlamagne fired from his job at Power 105.1. After their friendship went south, Nicki never returned to the show.
Despite how she views him, Charlamagne says he has a lot of respect for Nicki and her contributions to female rap over the past ten years.
Nicki Minaj has not yet responded to these latest comments.
