In an all too familiar tale, Conway The Machine has revealed that he did not receive any compensation from his Griselda deal.
The lyricist stopped by The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, where he admitted that he did not read the details of his recording track in the deal.
"When we did that shit in the beginning, I really wasn't all the way — man, I'm a keep it a buck, I ain't even read that contract, bro. I just signed that shit and moved on, but unfortunately, the contract wasn't in my favor," the 40-year-old shared.
The "Scatter Brain" rapper says he will continue to rep the Griselda brand because he built it from the ground up but is now in the process of redoing the deal with Westside Gunn.
Conway had a deal with Griselda under Dr. Dre's Shady Aftermath and Interscope Records. With the completion of his latest album, "God Don't Make Mistakes," he has now fulfilled his obligations with the Shady and Griselda and is looking forward to moving on.
Last month during an interview on the Bootleg KevPodcast, Conway revealed that he was no longer signed to Shady nor Griselda. He described his newfound freedom as "free agency."
