DaBaby has surpassed Drake in monthly Spotify listeners.
The "Next Song" rapper currently boasts approximately 53,819,556 monthly listeners on the platform. This massive figure trumps the OVO front-man's listenership, which sits somewhere around 52,2349,404.
Since the release of his "Dark Lane Demo Tapes" last May, Drake has released five singles, including chart-toppers such as "What's Next" and "Laugh Now Cry Later" with Lil Durk. During that same time period, DaBaby has released the deluxe version of "Blame It On Baby," his seven-track EP "My Brother's Keeper (Long Live G)," and his 2021 record "Masterpiece."
While this is a significant feat for DaBaby, Drake still sits on his throne as one of hip-hop's most prolific lyricists. After all, he was named Billboard's Artist of the Decade for a reason.
Nevertheless, DaBaby has earned his position as a force to be reckoned with in music. The six-time Grammy-nominated rapper has amassed a plethora of gold and platinum records with his catchy flow that, according to him, are "bringing the fun back" to rap.
