Rapper DaBaby was questioned by Miami police following a Monday night shooting that left two people wounded.
The shooting took place outside popular South Beach restaurant Prime 112. According to initial reports, the “BOP” rapper “fired off one round” in self-defense, which he admitted to police. DaBaby’s artist, Wisdom, was also questioned by investigators in the case.
A source told Page Six that DaBaby and his entourage had an issue with individuals in a car next to their vehicle. At some point, an altercation broke out. According to Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez, two people sustained injuries and were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One remains in critical condition.
After the story broke, TMZ reported that DaBaby’s lawyer, Drew Findling, confirmed that the rapper had been released and no criminal charges were filed.
The 29-year-old was in Miami for a private concert at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Over 10,000 fans attended Monday evening.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, and DaBaby has not commented on it publicly.
