When the clock struck midnight on Friday morning, Drake unleashed his three-song EP, "Scary Hours 2" sending his fans into an uproar.
On Wednesday, when Drake first revealed the mixtape artwork, fans were unclear if he was dropping a single or a complete project. However, they were greeted with a short yet impressive EP.
Drake and his latest offering trended on Twitter for a large part of Friday, with "Lemon Pepper Freestyle" featuring Rick Ross becoming an instant standout. The pair have teamed up at least a dozen times, each collaboration finding the two perfectly aligned. Rozay delivers rhymes fueled by opulence and status, while Drake serves punchlines upon punchlines, solidifying his position as one of the greatest artists of this generation.
Fans were also pleased with Lil Baby's performance on song #2, "Wants and Needs," particularly noting the Atlanta MC's growth as a rapper since his 2016 emergence on the rap scene.
"Scary Hours 2," a continuation of 2018's two-track EP "Scary Hours," serves as a welcome distraction for OVO enthusiasts waiting patiently for "Certified Lover Boy." That album is expected to arrive sometime before April.
