Fetty Wap has been arrested for his role in a massive drug trafficking operation that brought in millions.
The "Trap Queen" star was taken into custody at the Rolling Loud music festival on Thursday in New York at Citi Field in Queens. The 30-year-old and several others are being accused of distributing over 100 kilograms of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey.
While Fetty's exact role in the operation has not yet been revealed, the FBI says it seized $1.5 million in cash, two kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, 16 kilograms of cocaine, and various guns.
The other defendants were identified Friday as Anthony Cyntje, Brian Sullivan, Kavaughn Wiggins, Robert Leonardi, and his brother Anthony Leonardi. They are all accused of working together to run a "multimillion-dollar bicoastal drug distribution organization" from June 2019 to June 2020, using postal service and "drivers with hidden vehicle compartments" to transport the drugs to Suffolk County where they were stored and distributed.
The charges against Fetty could carry a life sentence if he is found guilty.
