Fetty Wap recently sat down with Akademiks, where he admitted that he purchased a massive fleet of vehicles for his loved ones once he made it big in the music industry.
The "Trap Queen" crooner sat down with the media personality on his Off The Record Podcast, where he dished on taking care of his closest friends and how many new cars he purchased once breaking into the music scene with 2015's hit record "Trap Queen."
"At that time, bro, like I said, I just wanted everybody to be happy. I felt like in order for me to still be—even though it still happened, unfortunately, in order for me to try to take control of what was going on in my area, I felt like I had to show people… Just because I made it, doesn't mean you didn't," he told Akademiks.
Fetty has been open about the highs and lows that transpired following his breakout single. During another recent interview with Fat Joe, the 30-year-old admitted that money woes and career pressure sparked a depression soon after he was propelled to superstardom. His self-titled debut album was released in September 2015 and went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. In March 2016, the album was certified platinum.
