Another day without the “DONDA” album, but at least Kanye West is giving fans another listening event. This time, the show will be coming to his hometown.
On Wednesday, the “Through The Wire” MC announced the third listening party was taking over Chicago’s Soldier Field on August 26th at 9:00 p.m. A fourth performance is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, though details regarding that one are scarce.
It looks like Ye wants to capitalize off the hype surrounding his album without plans of actually releasing it any time soon. The second album exhibition held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta was the most-streamed Apple Music exclusive, raking in over 5.4 million viewers. Yeezy also made a killing from merchandise sales at the stadium, with nearly $7 million in sales.
Even with fans turning out in droves to witness the dazzling display, they are growing impatient with the project that has been pushed back several times. With the announcement of two additional listening performances, there is no clear idea when Ye’s highly anticipated tenth studio album will make its debut.
The tickets for the upcoming “DONDA” preview will be available for purchase Friday on Ticketmaster.com.
