Kanye West is going after paparazzi for failing to pay the celebrities they photograph.
Ye spoke briefly about the initiative after arriving at a Miami airport. Once there, a photographer bombarded him with questions. The "Jesus Walks" mogul fired back at the man, promising to create a process that would require paparazzi to pay the people they hound to photograph without their consent.
"Right now, y'all get to shoot us without having to pay," he said. "I'mma change that. I'm not saying it in a negative way. It's just like, right now, it's just really one-sided," the 44-year-old said. He added that it was not fair how paparazzi could follow celebrities around and observe them "at any given time" without compensating them.
"We all gotta make money together … It can't be a one-sided thing. That's why it feels vulture-like."
Kanye's current push comes as he's been extensively photographed recently amid his new romance with Julia Fox, as well as the controversy surrounding his soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian. He has also come under fire in recent weeks for assaulting a man asking for an autograph. Ye reportedly hit the man before pushing him to the ground. In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Ye says the man was harassing him before the altercation.
