Fans have been on edge since it was revealed that DJ Kay Slay is battling COVID-19 and was on a ventilator this week.
On Wednesday, Wack 100 posted an unnerving Instagram post, asking his followers to pray for the legendary New York City DJ. According to Wack, the 55-year-old was battling the virus for two weeks, and things had taken a turn for the worse.
“Pray for my brotha @djkayslay It’s not looking good,” the hip-hop executive wrote.
Kay Slay’s biological brother Kwame Grayson issued a statement to Hip Hop DX, where he confirmed that while things were dire for his brother at one point, he is on the road to recovery.
“He was slowly fading away, but God didn’t let that happen. Everything in time, and when they found out who he was, they got him powered up again. So he’s up and going. He’s like in a recovery state, but he’s definitely not going to die. You can trust me on that,” Grayson shared on Thursday.
Kay Slay’s representatives have not issued an official statement but let’s keep him in our prayers as he continues to fight the virus.
