Kodak Black was likely the target of a shooting Monday morning that left his security guard wounded.
The incident took place at around 3:00 a.m. Monday morning in Tallahassee, Florida. Kodak and his crew were leaving Baja’s Beach Club on Pensacola Street when authorities say they were tailed by a vehicle that attempted to cut them off. The rapper and his crew pulled into a nearby McDonald’s restaurant shortly after.
At some point, the same car that followed them earlier emerged in the parking lot and shot at the entourage. Kodak quickly retreated into an armored vehicle. However, his security team member suffered a severe gunshot wound that hit the femoral artery in his leg, resulting in heavy blood loss.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the shooting was likely a targeted hit. They are now reviewing his current feud with Chicago producer Southside of 808 Mafia. Southside threatened to put hands on Kodak after the “No Flockin” star mentioned the producer’s girlfriend, Yung Miami, during an Instagram live stream. However, he has not been named a suspect in the shooting,
