Rapper Lil Mosey has been charged with second-degree rape.
The rape allegations against the 19-year-old stem from a January 2020 incident at a cabin in Randle, Washington. According to court documents, two women went to the residence to hang out with the rapper and his friends. One of the women identified as J.M.H. says that she initially agreed to have consensual sex with the rapper inside a vehicle outside the cabin. However, later on, the woman says Francisco "Cisco" Prater, a friend of Mosey's, allegedly carried her upstairs. At some point, she says she blacked out after hitting her head on something. The woman says she was laid down on the bed, where she blacked out again. Once she awakened, she claims Mosey was on top of her, pushing her legs up and apart as he was having sex with her. J.M.H. says she passed out once more. When she awoke the final time, Prater was forcing his penis inside her as Mosey left the room. J.M.H. says that she had injuries that included bruising on her arm, neck, and inner knee.
Mosey, whose real name is Lathan Moses Echols, was initially scheduled to appear in court on April 21st. However, after skipping out on that court date, he was wanted in Washington. His new court date was scheduled for Tuesday, where he pled not guilty.
Mosey's lawyer, Amy Muth, says that her client is innocent, and they are confident that he will be cleared of any wrongdoing.
Lil Mosey has not responded publicly to the allegations.
