Lil Uzi Vert was not pleased with his set at the Day N Vegas festival being cut short Sunday night.
Uzi’s set appeared doomed from the start, as he arrived nearly 30 minutes late to the 50-minute time slot. He was able to perform just two songs before his microphone was shut off. The move angered the “Money Longer” rapper, who tossed his mic into the crowd before storming off the stage.
While a spokesperson for Day N Vegas stated that his time was slashed due to his tardiness, many have speculated that it had something to do with the tragic Astroworld festival. Uzi was on stage telling his fans to “rage” with him moments before the showrunners stopped his mic. As you all know by now, Travis Scott has been accused of similar incitement that led to the death of ten attendees at Astroworld. Once Uzi’s set was over, an automated voice came over the speakers, instructing the crowd to move back to avoid surging.
Lil Uzi Vert nor his team has commented publicly on the incident.
