Lil Wayne Says He Re-Records Verses "A Billion Times" When Working On Music With Drake

Lil Wayne has long been known as a perfectionist when it comes to his music. The hip-hop veteran recently opened up about his meticulous recording process when working with his close friend and Young Money signee, Drake.

On Wednesday, the "Lollipop" MC conducted a Q&A session on Twitter. Fans swarmed the rapper's mentions with questions, using the hashtag #AskWayne. One follower who goes by the Twitter handle @LadyKTheRapper asked, "You do a lotta features on and off of your albums. Do you ever get a verse from someone that's so hot, u go back and adjust yours? If so, can u name a few people?"

Wayne recorded a response to his fan, revealing that Drake's lyricism always prompts him to change his verses even after they've been recorded.

"Everything Drake send back, I always have to go back and re-record. It's always because he says something at the end that make me be like, 'Ooh, I could capitalize on what he just said.'" Weezy added, "I have changed my verse a billion times because of Drake."

With the world anxiously awaiting Drake's "Certified Lover Boy," which drops tomorrow, fans are curious to see if Wayne will make an appearance on the project. If not, Wayne is working on three albums of his own, so it's only a matter of time before we hear the two reunited on a track.
