Quality Control star Lil Yachty is introducing his new line of nail polish aimed at breaking down barriers for men who want to rock painted nails.
Crete will unleash its first set of hues on May 21st. Yachty initially came up with the idea for the line after hearing the story of Trevor Wilkinson, who was wrongly suspended from his high school for wearing painted nails. The "Minnesota" rapper was moved by Trevor's story and offered his full support to the 17-year-old, who is working to make his school's dress code more inclusive.
"Trevor should be allowed to express himself, especially because his nail polish was harmless," the 23-year-old rap star said.
Last year, Yachty spoke about how he hopes the nail polish line will motivate men to rock nail polish proudly.
"It's unisex. But I want it to be more focused on men to use it and be more comfortable in their own skin. Because bro, it's 2020, you know what I'm saying like it's about to be 2021—come on, what are barriers? We still have barriers?"
Lil Boat took to his Instagram to showcase the first color offering of the line. Take a look below.
