Megan Thee Stallion is slamming Akademiks after he falsely reported Tory Lanez's DNA was not found on the gun that shot her.
On Wednesday, AK tweeted a breaking news update about the highly publicized case.
"It was revealed in court a few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon used in the Meg Thee Stallion case," he tweeted.
Lanez fans quickly rejoiced while others bashed Meg for accusing him of shooting her. However, the "Savage" rapper dragged Akademiks and other blogs, who quickly reported the incorrect information without the facts.
"Court ain't even started yet so why y'all ready to start lying," Meg said on Instagram. In another IG Story post, she wrote, "Y'all got breaking news 15 minutes before court started, and nobody has even been called in yet???"

She expressed her frustration with the lack of research conducted by bloggers, who only appeared interested in exclusive stories.
Courtroom reporter Eileen Reslen also shot down the inaccurate statements.
"Any reports of Tory Lanez's DNA not being found on the weapon in the Megan Thee Stallion case are FALSE. Today's pre-trial hearing was just postponed to April 5 and that fake news tweet was sent out before the hearing even started," she tweeted.

However, Akademiks doubled down on his reports, claiming that he saw the documents firsthand and DNA evidence pointing to Lanez as the shooter was "inconclusive."
UPDATE: Tory Lanez trial adjourned til April with Tory’s lawyer telling the court they have completed DNA results from the prosecution which is very pleasing to his client. (I saw this doc myself.. it literally says it was inconclusive in finding TORY DNA on the gun or magazine)— DJ Akademiks (@Akademiks)February 23, 2022
Meg gotta call the DA and ask em if its true. i dont know why she up on here taggin me in post like i just be making shit up.— DJ Akademiks (@Akademiks) February 23, 2022
The case has dragged on for nearly two years. Megan Thee Stallion accused her former friend and rumored lover of shooting her in July 2020 following an altercation after leaving a pool party at Kylie Jenner's home.
Lanez has maintained his innocence.
