Migos are demanding their respect for helping to usher in a new wave within hip-hop culture.
The trio chimed in on the rap Mount Rushmore conversation during a recent interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club. When asked who they felt should be in ATL's top four, Quavo replied, "Us, Gucci Mane." Takeoff agreed and stated that Migos should be added as one act, along with T.I.
The Mount Rushmore conversation has been buzzing for several weeks, with scores of people editing their favorite rappers' faces onto the famous monument and posting it to social media.
Migos were also asked who they felt were Atlanta's best hip-hop artists of all time. Takeoff, Offset, and Quavo all agreed that OutKast, the legendary "ATLiens," were among the city's best. They also credited Lil Jon with being one of ATL's most iconic musicians.
"He created a lot of lanes for Atlanta, so you got to put the boy Lil Jon on there," Offset explained.
Their comments come on the heels of their newly released "Culture 3" album. In recent months, the group's musical impact has come into question several times across various platforms, with fellow artists and media personalities agreeing that Migos deserve all of their flowers.
