NBA YoungBoy is getting people interested in Clubhouse again.
Last week, the “Lil Top” rapper joined the platform as he remains on house arrest in Utah. He held an over two-hour conversation with Akademiks, which attracted thousands of fans to the app. Days later, he joined another Clubhouse room headed by fellow rapper 21 Savage, where he trolled him. The home confined rhymer then held another conversation, with more fans joining, including one of his children’s mother’s, Iyanna “Yaya” Mayweather.
Since these fascinating sessions, the app, which seemed to die down in post-quarantine days, is regaining popularity. Akademiks took to Twitter to show how Clubhouse has seen a significant increase in users since YoungBoy began utilizing the platform regularly. In fact, the app went from ranking 60th in the Apple App Store to being in the top 5 “in a matter of days,” according to the stat screenshot posted by Ak.

The numbers are not shocking, given the superstar’s massive fan base that skyrocketed his YouTube channel to one of the most popular on the platform before it was randomly cleared last week. Only three of his most recent music videos remain on the channel.
It looks like Clubhouse owes NBA YoungBoy a thank you and a check.
