"Good Form" rapper Nicki Minaj took to Instagram Live on Monday to discuss her new collaboration, "Boyz," with Jesy Nelson. During the Live, she let her fans know that certain social media platforms had shadow-banned her after her viral COVID-19 vaccination comments last month.
"I think I've been shadow-banned on a couple social media outlets because of my comments about the vaccine," Nicki revealed. Many fans immediately began commenting that Twitter was the platform that shadow-banned her, though the Barbz leader never confirmed this.
If you recall, Nicki set the internet ablaze when she expressed her apprehension concerning the COVID-19 vaccine after a friend of her cousin experienced swollen testicles after getting vaccinated in Trinidad. She also confessed that she would not be attending the Met Gala since vaccination was required.
Nicki's claims caused both outrage and support around the world. The Minister of Health for Trinidad & Tobago, Terrence Deyalsingh, launched an investigation into Nicki's claim and found it to be false.
