Nicki Minaj has re-released her critically acclaimed 2009 mixtape "Beam Me Up Scotty" on streaming platforms with three extra tracks.
Minaj hopped on Instagram Live Thursday night to let fans know that she was working on a new album and that the three new records serve as a taste of what's to come.
"I knew if I just re-released the mixtape without putting anything new, I knew y'all would cuss me the f**k out," Minaj stated.
The additions to the mixtape are "Fractions," "Crocodile Teeth Remix" alongside Skillibeng, and "Seeing Green," which reunites Nicki with Lil Wayne and Drake.
Fans flocked to streaming platforms to stream the mixtape, with "NICKI DAY" trending on Twitter in celebration of the rapper returning from her months-long hiatus.
During the IG Live session, Nicki said that part of her hiatus was due to writer's block. However, she says that longtime friend and collaborator Drake helped her through it. She added him onto the Live, where she thanked him for getting her out of his funk.
"It didn't feel right with you not being on it," Drake told Nicki.
