The "Barbie Dreams" rapper held a conversation on Twitter Spaces conversation this past Sunday, where she caught up with the Barbz for a one-on-one chat. Nicki told her fans that though she was not too busy to work with her former collaborator, "middle people involved in that situation" prevented her feature from taking place.
"So I had told her, if it was like how me and BIA were direct and we dealt with each other directly, it would be different," Onika revealed during the conversation. Aside from the outside interferences, Nicki says she was not in love with the record because she felt that she couldn't "bring anything to it."
The Grammy-nominated hip-hop vet says that she is more intentional with the features she accepts these days. The 38-year-old is more focused on making a "moment with them that's gonna last."
