Rapper Pooh Shiesty is ready to proceed with trial after previously requesting a delay.
The “Back In Blood” star and his legal team previously asked the judge to postpone his federal trial until at least December 6th to build a defense against drug-trafficking conspiracy claims. However, they have now withdrawn the request, ready to get the case resolved as soon as possible.
Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Denell Williams Jr., remains behind bars on charges stemming from an armed sneaker robbery gone wrong in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, last year. The 1017 rapper and two friends arranged a meeting to buy weed and luxury sneakers in October 2020. After meeting the sellers, Shiesty and one of his buddies fired at the two men in a brazen shooting captured on camera.
The rapper’s legal issues do not stop there. The 21-year-old is also facing a separate case, where he is accused of shooting a security guard in the ankle at Miami’s King of Diamonds strip club.
Pooh Shiesty is due back in federal court on October 25th.
