Rapper Rick Ross is in hot water with promoters who say the rapper bailed on a scheduled performance.
St. Louis concert promoters Antoine Meeks of Black Luxury Entertainment LLC and Orlando Watson of Rockhouse Entertainment are suing the MMG boss for skipping out on a January 11th, 2020 concert.
According to the court documents, the promoters signed an October 2019 contract to pay Rick Ross $60,000 for his appearance at The Pageant. Meeks, Watson, and their businesses compensated Ross $30,000 at the time of booking and agreed to pay the balance on the day of the event. However, the “Diced Pineapples” star bailed on the concert, leaving the plaintiffs $74,000 in the hole.
The plaintiffs also paid $6,000 to rent out the venue, $3,300 on travel and accommodations, $4,100 on marketing and advertising, and $25,000 on production expenses.
The promoters attempted to reschedule the show with Rozay to no avail, claiming that he ignored their calls.
Rick Ross has not publicly commented on the lawsuit.
