It looks like Tory Lanez could be considering a plea deal to put his legal drama with Megan Thee Stallion to rest.
The "Say It" crooners legal team is currently in "possible settlement discussion" with Meg's team, Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta confirmed.
If an agreement is not reached by November 3rd, preliminary hearings will begin in December, and witnesses will be summoned to testify regarding the July 2020 shooting that left Megan wounded. The "Hot Girl Summer" maintains that her former friend shot her as she exited the SUV they were traveling in following an argument. Lanez has denied these claims.
In October 2020, Lanez pled not guilty to felony assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered gun.
Lanez's legal team says that despite considering an agreement, the singer is innocent.
"As in every case, the lawyers for the parties discuss the possibility of resolving the case," said Lanez's attorney, Shawn Holley. "Our position as to what did and did not happen in this matter remains unchanged."
If the case goes to trial, Tory Lanez could face up to 22 years in prison.
