Travis Scott is now facing a new lawsuit, this time from security guards who worked at Astroworld, who claim they were forced to witness and handle dead bodies.
Brothers Samuel and Jackson Bush say AJ Melino and Associates hired them to work security at the deadly festival. The men say they suffered immeasurable mental and physical injuries during the mayhem. Jackson says he witnessed multiple lifeless bodies and even had to remove the dead from the chaotic crowd.
In addition to Scott, the Bush brothers are also suing Live Nation, AJ Melino, Cactus Jack Records, and several others. They are seeking over $1 million in damages.
This new claim is just the latest in a pile of lawsuits against the rapper and organizers of the concert that claimed the lives of ten people and left over 300 injured. Last week, lawyer Thomas J. Henry submitted a complaint on behalf of 282 plaintiffs seeking $2 billion for injuries they sustained during the massive stampede at the concert.
Scott has kept a relatively low profile since issuing an apology and vowing to pay for funeral costs and counseling for festival attendees. He has not publicly responded to the lawsuits.
Let’s continue to keep the victims and their families in our prayers.
