Travis Scott has lost another brand deal following the Astroworld tragedy. This time, the luxury brand Dior is cutting ties with the rapper.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Dior announced that they would be pulling the plug on the 2022 Cactus Jack Dior collection permanently out of respect for the ten attendees who lost their lives during the November 5th Astroworld Festival in Scott’s hometown, Houston, Texas.
“Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection,” the statement read.
Travis Scott was the first musical artist to create a complete Dior collection that included sneakers, a Dior x Cactus Jack jacket, and several other exclusive items.
This partnership is just the latest that Scott has forfeited following his tragic music fest. Fortnite, McDonald’s, and Coachella have all parted ways with the “Sicko Mode” musician.
Hundreds of lawsuits have been filed against him and concert organizers, including Live Nation, for negligence on the night of the deaths.
Scott has not responded publicly to this latest business venture ending.
