Rapper and producer Travis Scott is looking to have the mounting Astroworld lawsuits tossed out.
Scott’s legal team filed docs on Monday to throw out the case of Jessie Garcia, who is suing for injuries he sustained during the November 5th music festival that claimed the lives of 10 concert-goers.
In addition, he also filed a “general denial” that will allow him to use this one denial in every lawsuit against him, as he is looking to dodge any responsibility in connection to the tragic Houston concert.
Scott is named in most of the nearly 300 lawsuits against him.
Among the 11 suits he responded to Monday, one of them was filed by Bhaghu Shahani, the father of deceased Astroworld attendee Bharti Shahani. Scott, along with Live Nation and ScoreMore, were accused of negligence.
Aside from his legal response, the 30-year-old has kept a low profile since Astroworld. While the number of lawsuits continues to grow, many families of deceased victims have declined his offer to cover funeral costs.
