Brick Squad frontman Waka Flocka Flame is firing back at critics who are giving him a hard time about the way he’s supporting his stepdaughter’s sexuality.
Since a recent episode of “Waka and Tammy: What the Flocka” aired, social media has been buzzing. During the rapper’s reality show which documents his family and career, his stepdaughter Charlie and his wife Tammy Rivera told Waka that the teen’s date for her quinceañera would be a girl. The “Round of Applause” star accepted the news and supported his daughter seemingly coming out. This came as a shock to members of the LGBTQ+ community, considering past comments that Waka has made.
In the past, Waka has voiced his disdain for Zaya Wade and Caitlyn Jenner. Therefore, many social media users called the rapper a hypocrite for supporting his daughter.
In true Waka fashion, the outspoken 34-year-old quickly took to his Instagram to slam everyone who was calling him out.
“Y’all n----s ain’t bullying nobody. And no, I’m not a phobic. I’m not none of that. What I’m gonna say is I’m gonna support my daughter. Y’all stop running with this narrative that she coming out ‘cause she ain’t never hiding from nothing. She not no face, no spokesman, no nothing. She living her f-----g life, man.” He also questioned why adults were concerned with Charlie’s sexuality in the first place.
The rapper has never been afraid to speak his mind. Hopefully, all of the controversy will not affect his stepdaughter in any way.
