Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock Over Jada Pinkett-Smith Oscar's Joke
Part-time rapper and full-time Oscar award-winning actor Will Smith produced one of television's most viral moments on Sunday when he slapped comedian Chris Rock for joking about his wife.
While hosting, Rock made a G.I. Jane joke towards Pinkett-Smith, seemingly referencing her low buzz cut. That joke visibly annoyed the "Set It Off" actress.
Moments later, Smith walks on stage and slaps Rock. Once back in his seat, Smith yelled, "keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth," as a stunned crowd looked on.
Initially, it appeared that the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" was enjoying the joke. However, once Pinkett-Smith seemed uncomfortable, that is when things took a turn for the worse. The actress has been vocal recently about her struggle with Alopecia, a hair loss condition.
Multiple celebs have given their opinions of the moment, with many condemning Smith while others have slammed him for his actions.
