Young Thug is opening up about a health scare that nearly claimed his life.
The “Ski” rapper, who is taking a break from rap to focus on his forthcoming rock and roll project, spoke with Rolling Stone after being hospitalized with deadly organ failure. He explained that as he lay in his bed, it quickly became apparent that he couldn’t move his body. An ambulance was called, and emergency personnel removed him from the home. Once at the hospital, Thug learned that he had liver and kidney failure.
“And I kinda had sorta passed away, like I kinda died,” he stated.
The 29-year-old would not go into specific details about when the incident occurred or what led to it. However, in the past, he has been transparent about his addiction to lean. Nevertheless, Thug says that the experience taught him a valuable lesson about life.
“I think it’s just a lesson for everybody to just let you know that shit’s real, you know? Life is real,” he said.
All things considered, it appears that Thugger is now happy and healthy as he prepares to release “Punk.”
